"I'm a queen crowned in my curls."

Happy Wednesday, All! I'm quite excited to share with you my latest collab. I came across this lovely lady named Sandra, a hairdresser in the Vegas area. She works at Viva Salon here in Summerlin. And let me tell you she is a braiding g e n i u s! I met up with her last week and she transformed my boring locks into a curly work of art. Just wait until you take a look at this! I was also able to ask her a couple questions concerning well.... h a i r of course!!! 

Q: Why did you decide to to become a hair stylist?

A: I became a hairstylist because I love making people feel beautiful. The sky is the limit in this industry, and you can create almost anything. It's so inspiring.

Q: How did you get your start in the industry?

A: I started doing hair in college for all my girlfriends that were in a sorority; and it was game over from then on! I left, came home, went to hair school, and continued on to assisting the owner of my salon for a year. This allowed me to get my foot in the door, assisting is one thing in this industry that sets you apart from everyone else.

Q: What are your favourite hair trends this season?

A: I love the messy LOB which is a long bob with textured layers. I like to add some sea salt spray (of course) and wrap it all up with a cute Boho braid!

Q: What do you love most about being a stylist?

A: The thing I love the most about being a stylist is that I can be as creative as I want and totally transform someone. It's the true definition of art..... 

Q: What is a product you can't live without?

A: Product I can't live without? Easy! Orbie dry wave texture spray, it's my go to for every finishing touch I do! 

Q: What is your number one tip for hair growth?

A: I actually have a couple tips! Biotin. Hair masks once a week are especially effective. If you're going lighter, space your appointments so that your hair has time to recover. Lastly, get a trim at least every six months! Your hair will thank you!!!
